With FlexNetworks recent decision to begin operations Manitoba’s Capital city, driven by our August acquisition of Fastnet Communications from Brian Stasynec, it became imperative that we bring a local Sales Resource onboard to keep Brian company (and, more importantly, wear the FlexNetworks jersey around town).

We were truly fortunate to secure the services of Justin Evenden, a life-long Manitoban, and established Winnipeg-based telecom resource. Justin will be our face in Winnipeg, as our Enterprise Account Executive, introducing FlexNetworks to local public and private sector organizations looking for an experienced provider of fibre optic connectivity from an experienced carrier-grade owner/operator.

I thought our blog might be a good place to introduce him and to get to know him a little better. Justin provided me with the following answers to my questions:

Favourite thing about living in Manitoba/Winnipeg:

Winnipeg is great because it is not too big, and the seasons. I am from a small town, so I like how you feel like you’re 2 degrees of separation from everyone. The seasons are great because they let you do so many activities. From summer fishing to ice fishing, and everything in-between.

Favourite Past-time:

Getting outside with my family or friends – mountain/road biking in the summer, cross-country skiing in the winter, tobogganing, fishing, and in the summer doing different triathlon type races. We are looking forward to getting back to backyard BBQ’s and spending time with friends and family outdoors.

Your general comments on FlexNetworks operating in Winnipeg:

It is exciting to be a part of FlexNetworks launching in Winnipeg. By investing in the right areas of the city we are giving Winnipeg organizations a new and different choice. There are areas lacking fibre-optic infrastructure and other areas lacking fibre-diversity. Both create opportunity for the right organization trying to compete in the global connected economy.

If you are tired of dealing with the same-old telecom providers weighed down by legacy networks and processes, don’t hesitate to contact Justin at 431.777.304 or justin.evenden@flexnetworks.ca.
